Local Recovery has announced the beginning of its Stronger Communities programme.
Stronger Communities aims to look in more depth at some of the challenges facing and the barriers to creating stronger, more cohesive communities in Scotland.
The first preliminary report 'Addressing Scotland’s 21st Century Divides' considers enduring issues around intolerance relating to faith and ethnicity – looking at Scotland’s history with sectarianism as well as emergent issues like the rise in antisemitic hate crime.
Local Recovery aims to use this work as a means to promote discussion and dialogue, with the ultimate objective of producing evidence-based policy proposals for government at local and national levels.
